​

 Casa de Carmen is inspired by my grandma Carmen and her immigration from Spain to California.

In the summer I found photos of the parties she would throw with her friends celebrating Spanish

extravagance in a fresh California setting. Using my own Spanish heritage, African costume

and wild materials, I wanted to portray my grandma and home through my own summer memories.

 This collection is about her and the vibrance and energy she poured into our warm California lives.
