Based on a study of perversion and the distortion of the surronding universe, sweethearts is an attempt at this type of disorderly behavior. Perversion is placed in an unfamiliar context, coming off as non-chalant and "sweet", in order to force the viewer to understand it differently. Working off of the absurdity of "perversion" and defining things as "perverse" acts, perversion can be seen as normalized and artistic while still retaining its abhorrence. The film is inteded to open an audience to a world of deviance and prompt future work.
